Together with a team of specialists, he established DEON Optical Design Corporation in Nagano-ken, Japan, with one goal: building the world's finest riflescope.

From OEM Expertise to Own Brand

Before March Scopes existed, the DEON team had been designing premium optics for other renowned brands for decades. That expertise in optical design and mechanical reliability is now fully integrated into the March product range. While other manufacturers source components from various countries, all 150+ components in March scopes are Japanese. No internal parts are plastic except where technically necessary for function.

Super ED Glass and Optical Innovation

March was the first brand to introduce ED glass in riflescopes and then went further with Super ED glass. This advanced glass has optical properties approaching pure fluorite crystal, virtually eliminating chromatic aberration. The result is an image with exceptional contrast and sharpness, even at extreme magnifications up to 80x.

Super ED lenses also provide better protection against mirage. Where other riflescopes quickly lose usability in heat shimmer, March scopes maintain their sharpness. This makes them particularly suitable for long-range competitions where weather influences play a major role.

Temperature Anti-Drift Lens System

A unique feature of March riflescopes is the Temperature Anti-Drift Lens System. This system ensures focus and image quality remain stable across changing temperatures. Built for Extreme Stress

Every March riflescope undergoes 20 different inspections and tests before shipping. Tubes are machined from solid aluminum with 4mm wall thickness on 34mm models. This makes the March-X and March-FX series among the most robust riflescopes on the market. All scopes are argon-filled for internal stability, waterproof to at least 4 meters, and have passed impact tests up to 1000G.

March Series and Applications

The March range is logically structured for different shooting disciplines:

The March-X series with 34mm tubes forms the backbone of the lineup. The X stands for extra-strong construction and Shuriken locking turrets. The 8-80x56 Majesta is the flagship: the world's most powerful zoom riflescope with 10x zoom and a 25° wide-angle eyepiece.

The March-FX series combines the 34mm tube with First Focal Plane (FFP) reticles. For PRS shooters working at variable distances, FFP is essential as the reticle scales with magnification.

The March Genesis is specifically developed for Extreme Long Range (ELR) with an enormous adjustment range up to 400 MOA elevation. Shooters working at 2000+ meters find the adjustment range other brands cannot provide.

Shuriken Lock Turrets

The innovative Shuriken-shaped locking turrets are named after the star-shaped throwing knives of Ninja warriors. With a simple turn, you lock or unlock the turrets. Red indicates locked, white indicates free adjustment. This prevents accidental adjustment during transport or in the field.
