Whisky

Aaaah, whiskey! The drink of the true gentleman. Of all the spirits you can have at home, whiskey is probably the most prestigious. From the deliciously sweet and pure Irish whiskey to American bourbon, Scottish single malt whiskey and whiskey for gourmets from younger markets like Japan, Taiwan and Canada. This is not a drink you carelessly pour back. No, it is a drink for the beautiful moments. Drinking it often accompanies a special event, or just when you need quality time. Anyway, however you drink it: the experience counts.

Everything for the best whiskey experience

At Hop.nl, we offer all the products that further enhance your whisky experience. Whiskey has an alcohol content of at least 40%. So it is not a quick drink, but a glass that you enjoy sipping from. You enjoy it from your lazy couch or comfy chair, or maybe with your friends in the mancave.

Lovers know that you enjoy it most when you take the time to drink in peace. From a beautiful glass, appropriate to the origin of the whiskey(e)y. Indeed: you can speak of whiskey or whiskey. The Irish and Americans use the former spelling, the Scots and many other countries around the world, omit the "e".

Classy hip bottles

Think it doesn't matter how you carry your booze with you? Think again. No matter how beautiful the bottle is: when you see someone gulping directly from it, it obviously doesn't exactly make a classy impression. The way to enjoy a good whiskey on the go (you also understand that you have to choose the time and location for this), is of course with a classy hip flask. This not only looks stylish, but is also a lot more convenient than carrying a bottle with you. You carry it with you comfortably and it gives you the look of a Peaky Blinder. What more could you want? And besides, where else are you going to keep your beverages? A water bottle? No, so invest in a nice flask.

Whiskey stones

Some people prefer to drink their whiskey cold. Whether this is "proper" or not, we'll leave to one side. We just see it as a matter of taste. And you should drink what you like. One thing is certain: whiskey "on the rocks" is quite dangerous. Why? People usually put too little ice in it. Too little? Yes: a single ice cube melts too quickly and thus weakens the taste of your delicious whiskey. If you drink it on the rocks, make sure your glass is really well filled with large blocks of ice. These will keep each other cold and are less likely to melt and thus not slacken the flavor.

Sound tricky? It is. So just choose whiskey stones if you prefer to drink your whisk(e)y cold. Whiskey stones are small square stones that you chill in the freezer. Put them in your glass, pour the whiskey and within a few minutes you have a deliciously cold whiskey whose flavor is not affected or diluted.
