The AIM FS-42 Folding Stock Bag is a unique specialist rifle bag specifically developed for rifles with collapsible stocks that fold right (towards the bolt). This bag is the result of intensive collaboration with leading rifle manufacturers such as Accuracy International and offers a secure transport solution for the wider, folded stock configuration up to 103 cm (40.5 inches) maximum.
Unique Solution for Tactical Rifles
Collapsible stocks are becoming increasingly popular on tactical and military rifles because they make the weapon more compact for storage and transport. Until the introduction of the AIM FS-42, however, it was very difficult to find a suitable drag bag for this specific configuration. Shooters had to unfold their stock to fit the rifle into a standard bag, which is impractical. The AIM FS-42 definitively solves this problem with a thoughtful design optimized for rifles with folding stocks.
Specially Developed Stock Compartment
The flared and deep stock pocket inside the bag is fully adjustable and designed to firmly hug the folded stock. An additional reinforced support beneath the stock pocket provides extra stability for the weapon. This means rifles like the Accuracy International in .338 Lapua caliber with 27-inch barrel, complete with large tactical scope, bipod, and muzzle brake, fit perfectly in this bag. The bag is as compact as an AIM 40 when empty but offers the extra width where needed.
Optimal Fixation and Protection
The main compartment features four fully adjustable securing straps that you can position and tighten according to your choice to secure the barrel in position. An integrated cleaning rod sleeve runs along the spine of the bag. The padded rim along the inside of the zipper ensures that your rifle and scope remain protected during opening and closing. The large zipper opens on three sides for optimal access to the main compartment.
External Fixation and Storage
Two webbing compression straps on the lower section of the bag allow you to further secure the folded stock in position. This prevents movement during transport and provides extra security. The two large external utility pockets feature elastic straps inside to keep accessories organized in place. Extra loops on the pockets provide attachment options for additional equipment.
Three Professional Carrying Options
The AIM FS-42 offers maximum flexibility in transport. As a backpack with padded shoulder straps, waist and chest belts for stability during movement. The strong metal carabiners provide extra strength to the shoulder straps. When not in use, the straps can be neatly stored in a zippered compartment. As a hand bag via the handle in the middle for perfectly balanced horizontal transport. Or as a classic drag bag via the handle above the backpack strap compartment, allowing you to drag the bag across the ground or hold it upright in narrow spaces.
Construction and Materials
The bag is manufactured from 1000 denier Cordura over thick closed-cell foam padding for optimal protection. All zippers feature flaps to keep out rain. The bag is water-resistant and can be combined with a small AIM rain cover (sold separately) for 100% waterproofing. Available in Olive Green, Tan, and Black.
