Arken Optics: long range optics at an honest price

A good riflescope for precision shooting can easily cost more than the rifle it sits on. Arken Optics was founded with a clear goal: to offer a clear image, reliable tracking and a rugged build at a price within reach of more shooters. It worked. Within a few years Arken became a familiar name on the PRS circuit and among long range shooters, and its scopes are now sold in more than thirty countries.

A brief history

• 2018: Arken Optics starts in the United States, headquartered in Missouri City, Texas

• The founders are Michael Benedict, with a background in business and optics, and Michael Reilly, a former Navy SEAL and sniper

• Arken starts with a single riflescope of its own design and then builds out the range step by step

• With the EP-5 and SH-4, Arken firmly gets on the radar of precision and long range shooters, later followed by the GEN II versions

• The range grows with hunting scopes (EPL-4, LH-4, OUTRIDER) and LPVOs (EP-8, LH-6)

• Arken enters the digital market with the ZULUS digital day and night scope

• 2026: launch of the TargetLock TL3000, a rail-mounted laser rangefinder with a built-in firing solution

What Arken stands for

Arken designs its scopes in-house and has them built by a specialist optics manufacturer. The top models, such as the EP-5, use Japanese ED glass for a sharp, colour-accurate image with little colour fringing. Almost all precision scopes have the reticle in the first focal plane, so your MIL values hold true at every magnification.

The brand works to four fixed standards. Reticle illumination that stays usable in any light, from dusk to bright sunlight. Scopes that handle rain and frost. Precision tracking, with reticle and turrets matched so every click does what it promises. And a lifetime warranty on conventional optics, together with the Precision Tracking Guarantee. On the TargetLock TL3000 Arken gives a 3-year warranty.
