Dutch LRS: Passion for Long Range Shooting

Behind Dutch LRS are Ronald and Christiaan, two friends who met in 2005. What started as a shared hobby at a local shooting club in 2010 grew into a true passion for precision shooting. The spark really ignited during a trip to Denmark in 2019, where they first experienced shooting at extreme distances. That trip changed everything.

Since then, Ronald and Christiaan have focused entirely on long range shooting, the discipline involving shots at distances of 1000 metres and beyond. They quickly noticed that equipment and opportunities for this branch of the sport are limited in Europe. From that experience, they founded Dutch LRS, aiming to provide fellow shooters with the right equipment and knowledge.

The Product Range

Dutch LRS offers a carefully curated selection for the serious long range shooter. The focus is on products that genuinely make a difference at extended distances.

Optics and Riflescopes

A quality riflescope is essential for precision shooting. Dutch LRS supplies optics from brands like Hawke, with models such as the Sidewinder FFP specifically designed for long range work. FFP (First Focal Plane) scopes ensure the reticle scales with magnification, crucial for accurate range estimation and wind corrections.

Wind Meters and Weather Stations

Wind is the greatest challenge in long range shooting. The Kestrel 5700 Elite with Applied Ballistics software measures up to 15 environmental parameters and directly calculates the required corrections for your shot. This type of equipment makes the difference between a hit and a miss at 1500 metres.

Bipods and Monopods

Stability is everything. Dutch LRS supplies various bipods and monopods to support your rifle rock-solid. A quality bipod at the front combined with a monopod or sandbag under the stock provides the stable platform position necessary for consistent shooting.

Reloading Equipment

Many long range shooters reload their own ammunition for maximum consistency. Dutch LRS offers tools from Lyman, Lee and Frankford Arsenal. From ammo checkers to factory crimp dies and rotary tumblers, everything to perfectly prepare your brass and load ammunition that performs identically shot after shot.

Electronic Aids

Modern long range shooting requires smart tools. The SG Timer 2 records your trigger time and assists with dry fire training. The SG Pulse Pro combines seven functions in one device: from level to DOPE card display, perfect for PRS competitions where speed and precision converge.

Custom Precision Rifles

In collaboration with Fine Steel Tooling, Dutch LRS offers the opportunity to have precision rifles fully custom built. Each system is tailored to your personal preferences, ballistic requirements and intended use. From design to deployment, you are guided by specialists who know what it takes for top performance at extreme distances.

Shooting Trips and Events

Since the Netherlands has no shooting ranges for distances beyond 300 metres, Dutch LRS regularly organises trips abroad. Locations in Denmark, Slovakia and other countries offer the opportunity to train at distances up to 2000 metres and beyond. These trips are accessible to both beginners and experienced shooters and are professionally supervised.
