Telson Optics: built for distance
Telson Optics is a brand with a clear mission: to make high-performance optics that hold up in the toughest conditions, at a price that keeps precision within reach. Their pay-off "Built for the Bold" is not an empty slogan. It is the mindset behind the way every scope is designed, built and tested.
For the long range shooter it all comes down to trusting your gear. You need to be able to count on your scope tracking cleanly, holding its zero under recoil and delivering a clear image even when the light works against you. The entire Telson line is built around that.
What makes a Telson scope stand out
The riflescopes share a common foundation. A one-piece 34mm tube in 6061-T6 aluminium with a matte type 3 anodised finish. A FAR2 reticle in the first focal plane, so your MRAD values hold true at every magnification. Locking competition turrets with zero stop and a turn indicator, so you never lose count. And a seal that is argon-purged and IP67 certified, fully waterproof and dustproof and .50 BMG rated.
The glass is where Telson sets itself apart. Premium Japanese ED lenses with a new UHD fully multi-coated coating, and on the top model even Apochromatic Plus ED glass with an AR coating that transmits 99.8% of the light. Every scope is assembled, aligned, sealed and calibrated in a static-free clean room before it leaves the factory.
Independently tested, proven on the range
Specifications on paper are one thing, performance in the field is another. The Target Master 5-25x56 was independently tested by Gavin Gear of Ultimate Reloader, on a custom .25 Creedmoor build. Using his optical test rig he measured tracking, parallax and distortion to within 0.0005 inch. The result: perfect tracking, almost no parallax shift and barely any optical distortion, even in difficult light. Exactly the results Telson calibrates for.
Which Telson suits you
The choice between the models depends on your discipline and the distances you shoot. The Target Master Victory 5-32x56 is the flagship, with magnification up to 32x and Apochromatic Plus ED glass. Ideal for extreme distances beyond 1000 metres, where you want to pick out small or distant targets sharply. The extra magnification costs a little field of view and weight, which is worth it if detail at distance is your priority.
The Target Master 5-25x56 is the all-rounder. For most tactical and competitive shooters the 5-25x range is the sweet spot between usability, clarity and control. Thanks to the shorter zoom range this scope keeps a little more brightness at full magnification and is somewhat lighter, which also makes it suitable for field use. If you mostly shoot between 300 and 1000 metres, this is more than enough.
Below those sit the Toxin 3-18x50 and the ARC 2.5-15x44, for those after a lighter or more versatile range for shorter to mid distances. Alongside riflescopes, Telson also makes tripods, ball heads, mounts, flip-up covers and custom turrets.
