The principle of the BipodEXT

With a conventional bipod setup your support point sits somewhere halfway along the forend. Every unintended movement at the stock gets amplified by the lever toward the target. The further you shoot, the larger that effect. At 1000 metres a small tremor of a millimetre at your shoulder can mean centimetres of shift on the target.

Accuracy Solutions reverses that. By moving the support point forward, toward the muzzle or even past it, you reduce the lever effect. The unintended movements at the stock have less influence on where you aim. The result is calmer crosshairs and more control with every shot.

From idea to product

It started simply. Founder Daniel Gyurec lost a friendly shooting match and wondered how the platform could be more stable. Days later he had a prototype of pipes and duct tape mounted on his rifle. It worked. Not pretty, but it worked. That prototype evolved into the BipodeXt, now in its fourth generation, used by competition and ELR shooters around the world.

In 2016 Gyurec founded Accuracy Solutions together with Robert Mitchell, a friend of decades, in Southern California. The company manufactures everything in the USA: carbon tubes, 6061-T6 aluminium components, assembly and quality control.

BipodeXt

The BipodeXt is a telescoping extension that mounts between your rifle and your bipod. Carbon tubes slide into each other, you set the length you need, and your bipod now sits dozens of centimetres further forward than usual. The difference in stability is immediately noticeable. Shooters report being able to spot their own impacts through the scope, something that did not work with a conventional bipod setup at the same distance.

The fourth generation mounts on both ARCA and picatinny without extra parts. Quick-detach, so you can put the BipodeXt on and off your rifle in seconds. The carbon tubes are light but rigid, and the clamps let you correct cant without getting out from behind your rifle.

Models

The BipodeXt comes in several versions. The PRS Competition Stabilizer for precision rifle matches, compact and light. The MSR Stabilizer for rifles with shorter barrels. The ELR for large calibres up to .50 BMG and rifles up to 23 kg. And the ELR Max as the absolute flagship, with more than 27 inches of extension and a load capacity of 30 kg. All models use the same carbon tubes and aluminium components, the difference is in the length, the number of tube sections and the maximum weight they support.

Orca Chassis

Besides the BipodeXt, Accuracy Solutions makes the Orca Chassis, a precision chassis system where the forward geometry is integrated directly into the design. Where the BipodeXt is an accessory you can mount on any rifle, the Orca Chassis is a complete platform designed from the ground up around the idea of a longer support point. For shooters who want to build a specific rifle around maximum stability.

Collaboration with Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta

The F.A.S.T. chassis (Fontcuberta Advanced Sniper and Tactical) was developed in collaboration with Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta, sniper instructor, competition shooter and match director of the King of 2-Mile. That collaboration brought practical experience from the most extreme shooting disciplines together with the engineering of Accuracy Solutions.
