The 4uantum Gear Heat Resistant Lubricant Pen by 4UAD was developed to tackle one specific problem: the heat generated by fast-spinning gears inside AEG gearboxes. At high speeds, friction between the gears produces enough heat to cause regular lubricants to lose their viscosity and run off the gear teeth. The result is dry gears, increased wear, and ultimately a less reliable replica.

Applications
The 4uantum Gear is primarily designed for gears in AEG gearboxes, but it's suitable for any component where metal-to-metal friction and heat are a factor. This includes:

Practical Use
Open your gearbox and remove old grease from the gears. Twist the pen open and apply a thin layer of lubricant to the teeth of each gear. The integrated tip makes it possible to reach narrow gaps. Close the gearbox, let the motor cycle briefly so the lubricant distributes evenly, and you're done. The compact pen format makes it easy to carry in your gear bag for on-location maintenance.
