Finally settling the score with cant errors
In long-range precision shooting, cant, the lateral tilt of your rifle, is one of the most underestimated error sources. At 1,000 metres, just one degree of cant already results in approximately 12 to 15 centimetres horizontal deviation. For an F-Class shooter aiming for the V-Bull or a PRS competitor who needs to hit targets within 1 MOA, that's the difference between score and miss. Traditional bubble levels work, but require you to glance away from the target every time you prepare a shot.
The SG Pulse solves this fundamentally differently. Three bright LEDs (red, green, blue) sit in your peripheral vision as soon as you mount the Pulse near your optic. Green means level, red or blue warns of cant to the left or right. No waiting for a bubble to stabilise, no interpretation of millimetre deviations, just instant feedback while you stay in your sight picture.
What sets the SG Pulse apart
The Pulse is more than a digital bubble level. With Stability mode, the device measures unintentional rifle movements in MOA, ideal for timing your trigger break or analysing dry fire training. The Cosine indicator shows the exact barrel angle during up- and downhill shots, critical for hunters and ELR shooters who need significant ballistic correction due to angled shooting positions.
The Scope Leveling function makes aligning your scope to your rifle dramatically easier than with traditional methods. Place your rifle in a vise, press the button, the Pulse memorises the exact angle, and you then level your scope perfectly parallel to your rifle bore. For shooters who regularly swap optics or build new setups, this saves considerable time without compromising on accuracy.
The Transition Timer is a function unique to Shooters Global. The device detects your shots via acceleration measurements and logs the time between each shot. In the Drills app, you then analyse your transitions between targets, allowing you to specifically improve your weak spots in stage time.
For which shooters
The Pulse is developed for long-range precision shooting and fits into virtually every discipline where accurate rifle alignment is crucial. F-Class shooters benefit from Stability mode during their strings at 600 and 1000 yards. PRS and NRL competitors particularly appreciate the transition timing function and quick visual feedback between stages. Long-range hunters use the Cosine indicator for shots on big game in hilly terrain. ELR shooters aiming at 2000+ metres know that even minimal cant at those distances produces unacceptable misses.
Recreational precision shooters and reloaders optimising their load development also benefit from the Pulse. Consistent rifle level is a variable you eliminate from your grouping, allowing you to see differences in load sooner and more clearly. The Drills app overlay function makes it possible to provide your training videos with real-time data, ideal for self-analysis after a shooting session.
Compact design and mounting options
The machined aluminium housing is waterproof and compact enough to be placed virtually anywhere on your rifle. Choose Picatinny or M-LOK mount version, or the combi version with both. Custom calibration ensures you can mount the Pulse in any orientation, vertically next to your scope, horizontally on your handguard, or even at an angle. The factory level is redefined by you after mounting, perfect for setups where standard horizontal placement isn't ideal.
For Spuhr mount users, a separate Spuhr-specific attachment is available for optimal integration. The brightness level is adjustable for use in bright sunlight and dark conditions like evening hunting or indoor ranges. The magnetic charger attaches to the side of the device, no fumbling with loose cables through threading.
Drills app and ecosystem
The free Drills app for iOS and Android is more than a display for Pulse data. You configure your tolerances (for example green LED at 0.5 degrees or at 1.5 degrees deviation), calibrate the device, capture video of your training with live data overlay, and review reports of your training sessions. Apple Watch and Garmin smartwatch integration show real-time level and stability data on your wrist without you having to look at your phone.
For shooters who also work with an SG Timer, both devices pair directly within Drills. Shot times from your timer are synchronised with rifle positioning data from the Pulse, and you have complete stage data on one screen. For coaches and trainers working with multiple athletes, this is a valuable tool for providing objective feedback.
Practical use
Mount the Pulse on a free Picatinny slot or M-LOK position as close to your scope as possible, to stay in your peripheral vision. Press the power button, calibrate via the Drills app if desired, and you're ready. The device automatically detects it's on a rifle and activates the correct sensors. After 30 minutes of inactivity, it enters sleep mode to save battery life.
Combine the Pulse with a good bipod and a matching scope from our range for a complete precision setup.
