Adjustable block mount quick-release - ERATAC
If you shoot at long range, sooner or later you run into the limits of your riflescope. Modern scopes have a large zoom range, but the vertical adjustment range of the reticle is often not enough to adapt the scope to every shooting distance. The ERATAC adjustable block mount solves that, and does so more thoroughly than any fixed mount.
The principle is simple but powerful. By mounting the scope at a forward inclination, you shift your whole adjustment range upward. Whatever inclination you set mechanically, you no longer have to dial in with your reticle. An example makes it clear: say your scope adjusts 30 MOA and your Picatinny rail already gives 30 MOA as well, then with the 70 MOA version of this mount you reach a total of 130 MOA of adjustment. That extends your ballistic curve considerably and lets you shoot at distances your scope alone could not manage.
Quick to set, exactly back on your point
You set the inclination via a wheel on the side. You loosen both cross screws a few turns with the supplied Torx key, turn the wheel to the desired angle and tighten the screws again. The mount and the scope simply stay on the rifle. The MOA version runs from 0 to 70 MOA in 10 MOA steps, eight settings in total. The mrad version runs from 0 to 20 mrad in 5 mrad steps, five settings.
These are not fine little gears, but solid, long contact surfaces. As a result the mount clamps large surface against large surface, which ensures full return-to-zero repeatability. Set the same angle again and you return to exactly the same point.
Quick-release mount and build quality
We supply the quick-release version with lever lock. With it you fit the mount to your rail without tools and take it off just as quickly, keeping your zero. The levers work with no losable parts. The mount comes from manufacturer Recknagel and carries the ERATAC name, which in the tactical world stands for strength and quality. The clamping system is made to NATO-STANAG 4694 and compatible with the MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. Self-locking thread inserts keep the screw connections in place for good.
