Using and cleaning it
When you are done, leave the cigar in the rest and let it go out on its own. Stubbing it out creates a harsh smell and makes more mess than necessary.
Empty the ash once everything has cooled. Then rinse the ashtray in lukewarm water with a little mild washing-up liquid and dry it with a soft cloth. Skip the scouring pad, as it can wear away the hand-painted gold rim.
