FMA 4.4"-9.2" Pan & Tilt bipod - Rokstad
Not everyone needs a Fortmeier. Sometimes you just want a bipod that does what it should, sets up quickly, is light enough to always bring along, and costs less than a night out. The Rokstad FMA is exactly that.
Construction
The FMA is CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium. That is the same material grade you find in many more expensive bipods. At 389 grams you barely notice it on your rifle. The 20 kg load capacity is more than sufficient for any standard rifle you mount it on, including heavier precision setups.
Pan and tilt
The integrated pan and tilt function is what sets this bipod apart from simpler models in the same price range. On uneven terrain, and it almost always is when you shoot outdoors, you can level your rifle without adjusting your legs. Pan gives you horizontal rotation, tilt lets you cant the rifle. That saves fiddling with leg lengths and makes setup faster.
Height range
The legs adjust from 4.4" to 9.2", roughly 11 to 23 centimetres. Low enough for prone shooting, high enough for shooting from a bench or a slightly elevated position. The 360° rotation lets you swing your rifle without moving the bipod.
One-handed operation
The entire system is designed for one-handed use. Deploy legs, set height, lock. It is quick and fuss free. Useful at PRS stages where you need to set up fast, but also in hunting situations where you do not always have both hands free.

Who is it for
The FMA is an ideal entry level bipod. For shooters getting into precision rifle who do not want to invest in a Fortmeier or SleipnerX right away. For hunters wanting a lightweight, compact bipod that goes on and off quickly. Or as a second bipod to bring as backup or to put on another rifle. Do not expect F-Class precision from a bipod in this price range, but for what you pay you get a surprisingly capable product.
