Goliath 8"-12" bipod picatinny - UTG
The Goliath is UTG's premium precision bipod. Lighter than the Big Bore, more compact, with a QD mounting system that goes on and off your rail in seconds. But just as solidly built and just as capable with heavy calibres. If you want a bipod that is light enough to always bring along but strong enough to handle everything you throw at it, this is it.
Construction
6061-T6 aluminium, matte black anodised, with steel components at the critical points. 773 grams. That is remarkably light for a bipod rated to .50 BMG. UTG achieved that through smart material use: aluminium where possible, steel where necessary. The recoil lugs in the mounting plate are squared steel, integrated into the base. Not a separate bolt that works loose, but part of the construction.
Tilt and pan
40° tilt and 28° pan left and right. Both independently adjustable via levers. Set the tilt tight when shooting on a flat surface and you want no movement. Set it looser on a slope when you need to compensate quickly. Pan works the same: tight for precision, looser when tracking a moving target or switching between targets quickly.
Legs
Three positions: 0° (folded against the rifle), 45° and 90° (fully deployed). At 90° the legs sit at a 60° angle to each other. Wide enough for a stable base, not so wide it becomes impractical. Height adjusts from 20.5 to 31 centimetres in 14 steps. At 45° leg position you get even lower. The legs click firmly into each position, no half hearted locks that release under recoil.
QD mount
The picatinny mount is quick-detach. No hex keys, no nuts. You clamp the bipod onto your rail, set the tension with the lever, and it holds. Want it off, one action and it releases. That makes the Goliath practical when you want to use it on multiple rifles or when you need to remove the bipod quickly for transport.
Feet
The included feet are oversized rubber, large enough for good grip on most surfaces. They attach with a QD system, so you can swap them in seconds. Want spikes for soft ground or ski feet for a smooth mat, most aftermarket QD feet fit. That gives you flexibility without buying an entirely new system.

Goliath or Big Bore?
Both are rated for heavy calibres. The difference is in the use case. The Goliath is lighter (773g vs ~1 kg), more compact, and has a QD mount that goes on and off quickly. That makes it more practical for everyday use, PRS matches, and situations where you want to swap between rifles fast. The Big Bore is heavier, has a wider open angle (70° vs 60°) and more leg positions. You choose that one when stability is the absolute first priority and weight does not matter. Both are built to last.
