CAS for Fortmeier Bipods: Tool-Free Cant Adjustment
The HunTac CAS (Cant Adjust Spinner) was designed to replace the standard Versa-Pod spigot clamping screw on Fortmeier bipods with 12:00 mounting. This precision component enables completely tool-free adjustment of tilt resistance, even while in shooting position.
Technical Specifications and Functionality
The CAS replaces the original clamping screw and integrates a rotating mechanism that allows you to adjust the friction resistance of the cant function directly. This is particularly valuable in long-range shooting where quick adjustments to changing terrain conditions are crucial for accurate shots. The system works exclusively with Fortmeier bipods in the 12:00 position, where the rifle hangs below the bipod.
Advantages for Precision Shooting
When shooting from uneven ground or sloped positions, the ability to quickly adjust cant resistance is a significant advantage. Traditional systems require hex keys and disassembly, which is time-consuming and impractical under competition conditions or in the field. With the CAS, you simply turn the knob to set the desired resistance without having to remove the rifle from your shooting position.
Compatibility
Suitable for all Fortmeier bipods with 12:00 mounting bridges. Please note: the mount itself is not included and must be ordered separately. The CAS is not compatible with 6:00 configurations, as these use a different adjustment mechanism with a clamping lever positioned under the bridge.
German Engineering Quality
HunTac is known for producing high-quality precision accessories for long-range shooting sports. The CAS is made from robust materials that withstand intensive use under various weather conditions. The fine thread mechanism ensures precise, incremental adjustments of friction resistance.
