Stainless billet instead of aluminium

Most arbor presses in this category are aluminium, sometimes with a steel ram. Derraco builds the complete frame, the base, the arbor block and the ram from solid stainless billets. You feel it the moment you pick the press up and especially when you're seating a tight neck 6 Dasher or heavy ELR bullet. No microflex in the frame, all press energy goes into the bullet. The feedback through your fingers stays clean, and outliers stand out faster.

The finishing

Ram rod and column are both centerless ground and verified with go/no-go gauges. That's a manufacturing step you won't find in the standard arbor-presses. The difference shows up as a ram that moves tight in place, even after thousands of cycles. The ram face itself is surface-ground on a custom jig, perfectly parallel to the base surface.

The detent ball bearing in the arbor clicks into fixed positions during height adjustment. Switch between 6 Dasher and .284 Win, and you'll find your exact seating depth setting again. A small detail on paper, but it saves time per session.

Left- or right-handed

Ships right-handed by default. The symmetrical arbor block design lets you move the handle to the left side with minimal effort. No separate left-handed model to order, no premium.
