Precision Priming Shell Holder - Derraco - Tighter tolerances for competition shooters
The Precision Priming Shell Holder from Derraco is designed for reloaders who won't settle for the slop of standard shell holders. Where Lee designed their original priming shell holders for maximum compatibility with as many calibers as possible per holder, Derraco chose a different approach: specific holders per caliber family with significantly tighter tolerances.
The result is a shell holder that grips the case firmly and without play during primer seating. This consistent positioning contributes to uniform seating depth, which directly affects the ignition consistency of your ammunition.
Construction and material
Each shell holder is CNC-turned and milled from 420 stainless steel, a material known for its hardness and corrosion resistance. After machining, the holders are hardened to 45-50 HRC, providing a wear-resistant surface that lasts for years, even with intensive use.
The Lee-compatible design (flat bottom) makes these shell holders suitable for the Derraco PCPS and PCPS Lite, but also for other priming tools that accept Lee-format shell holders, such as those from Frankford Arsenal.

The shell holders are available in five sizes covering the most common caliber families:
- .223 Remington family: including .204 Ruger, .222 Rem, 5.56 NATO, .300 AAC Blackout
- .308 Winchester family: including 6mm BR, .243 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, .260 Rem, .270 Win
- 7.62x39mm family: including 6.5 Grendel, PPC calibers
- .300 Win Mag family: including 7mm Rem Mag, 6.5 PRC, .300 WSM, SAUM calibers
- .338 Lapua Magnum family
Important to know
These shell holders are intended exclusively for primer seating. They are not suitable for sizing or bullet seating operations. The flat design is specific to priming tools and does not fit in standard reloading presses as a sizing shell holder.
