Adapter Bore Tech Proof-Positive Bore Stix .22 RF
This replacement adapter from Bore Tech is designed specifically for the Proof-Positive Bore Stix cleaning rods in .22 RF caliber. When the tip of your cleaning rod gets damaged, there's no need to purchase an entirely new rod. Simply replace the tip with this adapter and your Bore Stix cleaning rod is back in action.
Aluminium Instead of Brass
The key advantage of the Proof-Positive adapter is its full aluminium construction. Traditional brass tips contain over 60% copper. When you use copper-removing bore cleaners, that brass reacts with the cleaning solution. The result? Blue discoloration on your cleaning patches even when there's no copper left in the bore. With the aluminium Proof-Positive tip, this false positive is eliminated entirely. You can trust that a blue patch genuinely indicates copper residue from the barrel.
Easy DIY Replacement
Replacing the adapter takes just a few steps. Heat the old adapter briefly with a lighter (approximately 15-20 seconds) to release the red Loctite. Carefully unscrew the damaged adapter. Clean the threads on the cleaning rod, apply one drop of red Loctite, and thread on the new adapter. Allow approximately 10 minutes for curing and you're good to go. Note: if you need pliers to grip the rod body, always pad the jaws to avoid damaging the coating.
Compatibility and Threading
The .22 RF adapter features 8/32" female threading and fits exclusively on the Proof-Positive Bore Stix line. It is not compatible with Bore Tech's V-Stix cleaning rods, which use a brass tip with different specifications. All Bore Tech brushes and patch jags with 8/32" male threading attach directly to this tip without any additional adapters.
