Carbon tripod with ballhead Arca-style 12 kg - Ulfhednar

With a spotting scope at a match or hunting for glassing game, same story. The Ulfhednar UHRT55CBH is built for those situations. Light enough to carry all day, solid enough to shoot off seriously.
Carbon legs
The legs are made from 8-layer carbon. That delivers a combination of rigidity and low weight that is not achievable with aluminium. The entire tripod weighs 1350 grams. That is less than a bottle of water. Folded it measures 37 centimetres and fits in a daypack or strapped to the outside of your pack.
Each leg has four sections with rubberised twist locks that you can operate even with gloves. Three leg angle positions give you flexibility on uneven terrain. Want to shoot low, spread the legs wide and you get down to 45 centimetres. Fully extended with the centre column up you stand at 170 centimetres.
Ballhead
The included ballhead has an Arca-Swiss clamp. Your spotting scope, riflescope or camera with Arca foot clicks straight in. One locking knob for the ballhead, separate lock for 360° panning with degree markings on the base. The ballhead tilts to 90° thanks to a notch in the joint, so you can aim straight up or down. Two built in spirit levels, horizontal and vertical, make levelling straightforward.
Centre column and hook
The centre column is height adjustable and has a retractable hook at the bottom. Hang a range bag or sandbag from it for extra stability in wind. Small detail, but it works surprisingly well. The column also unscrews from the ballhead. Combine the column with a removable leg and you have an adjustable monopod. Two products in one.
Feet
Rubber feet come fitted as standard. Ulfhednar also includes ice spikes. In Norway that makes sense, but in other climates they are useful on frozen ground in winter or on smooth stone surfaces. Swapping takes seconds.
Compatibility
The ballhead is removable. Want to use a different head, for example a Leofoto geared head or a saddle clamp for rifle shooting, just unscrew the ballhead and mount whatever you need. The Ulfhednar Monkey Clamp (sold separately) fits directly on the centre column or on the ballhead and turns the tripod into a full shooting tripod.
