Aluminum collet set for impact bullet pullers
An inertia bullet puller (impact bullet puller) works by striking the cartridge against a hard surface. The bullet separates from the case under its own momentum. The collet is the component that clamps the case inside the puller. Without a properly fitting collet, the case cannot be held firmly enough and the bullet will not release.
This set contains three aluminum collets that each cover a different range of calibers. Together they span virtually the entire spectrum from .17 Remington to .45-70 Government, including both rifle and handgun cartridges, rimless and rimmed alike.

Wide compatibility
Although these collets are designed for the Frankford Arsenal Quick-N-EZ impact bullet puller, they also fit similar inertia-type bullet pullers from other manufacturers. The collets are machined from aluminum and secured with a rubber O-ring that rolls over the top and seats into the groove.

Practical tips
Collets wear over time, especially if you pull bullets regularly. The aluminum collets can develop impressions from the case rim, reducing grip. Inspect your collets periodically and replace the set once you notice cases slipping. Always use the bullet puller on a block of hardwood, never on steel or concrete, as this extends the service life of both the collets and the puller itself.
This collet set is a useful spare for any reloader who works with an inertia bullet puller. Combine the set with the Frankford Arsenal Pile Driver bullet puller or the Quick-N-EZ for a complete bullet pulling system.
