What's in the P2 set?
The set includes a VLD inside chamfer tool to smooth the inside of the case mouth after trimming, ensuring bullets seat smoothly without jacket damage. The outside deburr tool removes the burr from the outside of the case mouth. You also get primer pocket reamers for both large and small primers, primer pocket cleaners in both sizes, a complete uniformer set and a storage handle with carry case.
Primer pocket reamers built to SAAMI specs
The reamers feature a different design than most competitors. Where standard reamers use a 35-40° cutting angle, the Burstfire reamers work at 80-85°. This means less material needs to be removed to eliminate the crimp. The cut radius is 0.0025" below standard primer dimensions: 0.1730" for small and 0.209" for large. Compare that to the 0.167" (small) and 0.202" (large) found in most other products on the market, which are often undersized.
Primer pocket uniformer
The included uniformer set is machined to the correct dimensions, unlike many competitors that are made too small. An undersized uniformer creates a circular wobble that results in uneven cutting. The Burstfire uniformer cuts at the correct width and depth without removing material from the pocket wall. It's useful for equalizing uneven primer pockets, preventing slam-fires and correcting protruding flash holes caused by incorrect decapping pins.
Storage handle with internal compartment
The handle features threading in the middle, allowing you to unscrew it to store all small parts inside. Both ends accept case prep tool heads for manual operation, two at a time. The included hex adapter lets you chuck the tools into a power drill or cordless drill for faster processing.
Compatible with the Burstfire 2-in-1 Annealer
All tools feature industry-standard 8/32 threading, making them compatible with the Burstfire 2-in-1 Annealer & Case Prep Center or the Frankford Case Prep Platinum. Mount the tools on the case prep center and speed up your workflow by up to 5 times. This way you can anneal and prep cases in a single session.
