Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series wet/dry media separator
The Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Wet/Dry Media Separator is designed to quickly and cleanly separate brass from both dry media (walnut shell, corn cob) and wet media (stainless steel pins with water). After tumbling, simply turn the handle and the sifter does the work — brass stays in the drum while media falls through the perforations into the collection tub below.
Works with wet and dry tumbling
Many media separators only handle dry use. This Platinum Series model is specifically built to work with water and stainless steel pins as well. After wet tumbling, pour the contents of your tumbler into the sifter drum. Brass stays inside the sphere while pins and water drain through the perforations. Inside the collection tub, a second, finer strainer catches the stainless steel pins while the water drains through. In one single step, you have your brass, pins and water neatly separated.
Two handles for ambidextrous use
The sifter drum has a handle on each side, so you can comfortably spin it whether you are left- or right-handed. As the drum rotates, any media or pins trapped inside cases are shaken loose. This is significantly more efficient than manually shaking brass in a flat sieve or colander.
Spill-proof collection tub
The collection tub is completely spill-proof, which is essential for wet tumbling. You do not want water and stainless steel pins all over your bench. The tub captures everything: water, dry media and stainless steel pins. On top of the tub sits a mesh strainer that lets you rinse brass during separation — useful for washing off any remaining cleaning solution.
Rugged rubber latch
The sifter drum is secured with a robust rubber latch that keeps the sphere firmly closed, even with heavier loads of brass. You can shake and spin vigorously without the drum popping open and sending brass flying across your bench.

Which tumbler do you need?
This media separator is the ideal companion to a rotary tumbler with stainless steel pins, such as the Frankford Arsenal Rotary Tumbler (Lite). After tumbling, pour everything into the sifter drum and you are done within a minute. Using a vibratory tumbler with walnut or corn cob media? This separator works just as well — dry media falls through the perforations while brass stays behind. Much faster and cleaner than sorting by hand.
